BR 6-11: Anne of Green Gables

"Suddenly He put his arm out, pulled her read plaits, and said in a loud whisper, 'Carrots! Carrots!' Anne jumped up and looked angrily at Gilbert. 'You horrible boy!' she cried. 'I hate you!' And then she brought her heavy book down on Gilbert's head. (p.15)

This week, I read this book, "Anne of Green Gables".

The main character of this story is Anne, a orphan girl with long read hair.

One day, an old man named Matthew comes to take in Anne. Matthew had planned to take in a boy, but he was surprised to find that it was a girl. He was not good with girls, but on the way home, he enjoys chatting with Anne. When they arrive home, Matthew's sister, Marilla, tries to turn her away at first, but Matthew convinces her to let her stay. Thus, Anne's new life begins.

After that, Anne makes friends with Diana, a girl with dark hair, starts going to school, has a fight with Gilbert, a naughty boy, and grows up through various events.

I knew only the title of this story and didn't know the content, so i could read it this week. It was enjoyable story! Anne is very good girl!
